The long-awaited next installment of Jason Petty’s ever expanding production library is finished and will be on the road beginning in 2012. Jason Petty’s The Swingin’ Cowboys is a tribute to the music of the Great American West. This trip down memory lane features songs from Stephen Foster, The Singing Cowboys, and selections from the greatest western swing music ever recorded. An authentic western set along with some of the best musicians in the USA makes for an unforgettable night as Jason narrates the legacy of one of the most influential movements in American music history. Join Jason Petty along with 2011 Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame inductee Carolyn Martin for a fabulous night of western-themed music, stories, and humor for the entire family.

MCA will be at the NC Presenter’s Consortium ArtsMarket, one of the south’s premiere arts conferences, to be held in Durham, NC Nov 7 – 10. Stop by booth #133 and say hello to Charley and new roster addition, Hickory, NC native Sammy Cortino.

Etta May and her one-woman show Etta May’s White Trash Diary sold out beautiful
Merrimack Hall in Huntsville, AL on two consecutive nights Oct 20-21. The reigning “Queen of Southern Sass” was in town to film a full length DVD of her show to be released in early 2012.

The Funniest Man in America, James Gregory will be performing at the Honeywell Center in Wabash, IN Sept 23
Pat Boone will be performing the National Anthem at his alma mater The University of North Texas in Denton, TX for the home opener on the 10th, followed by a performance of his one man show “An Evening With Pat Boon” at the Murchison Center on the 11th. Pat will also make an appearance at the Conroe First Baptist Church that morning.

Our booth number and location has been moved thanks to an oversight by SouthArts and the subsequent orders from the Baton Rouge fire marshal. We will now be located at booth #112, on the left side as you enter the exhibit space.
Happy to announce that I’ll be helping out good friend Robert Baird (Baird Artists Management) and Gail Lowenberg (Merrymen Performing Arts Center, Kearney, NE) in leading the “Intro to Presenting” session at MAC on Sept 7 at 1:30pm in the conference hall.
